SINGAPORE (26 MAR 2018): City Developments (CDL) says 315 or 70% of the 450 units it released for the 861-unit The Tapestry over 24-25 Mar has been sold at an early bird average selling price of $1,310 psf.
In a Sunday release, the developer notes that all of The Tapestry’s unit types have enjoyed a good take-up rate, particularly the one and two-bed room types.
It credits the strong interest in the property to its location in the mature Tampines estate, as well as proximity to the Tampines and Tampines West MRT stations in addition to the Tampines bus interchange, popular schools, amenities, offices and business parks.
76% of The Tapestry’s buyers are Singaporeans, while the remaining 24% are Permanent Residents (PRs) and foreigners from Malaysia, China, India, Indonesia and Hong Kong, according to the group.
Among the local buyers are Paralympic swimmer and medallist, Theresa Goh, who bought a two-bedroom premium unit.
“With the boost in sentiment for Singapore’s residential market, there has been high anticipation for The Tapestry which is the first premium suburban condominium to be launched in 2018. We are very encouraged by the overwhelming response on our first weekend launch,” says Chia Ngiang Hong, CDL Group General Manager.
