The major contributing factors that drive the property prices upwards are mainly, land cost, and of course, the rising manpower and construction costs.

We do not have crystal balls that would allow us to look into the future, but it is sure looking like we won't be seeing land cost sliding anytime soon.

While it is prudent to adopt "wait & see" , it may also mean getting priced out in the process.

That being said, in the recent years, we have seen numerous new launches happening, yielding impressive results at launch, and of course at the moment, there are still good projects and units available for selection.

52% of available units were sold on the 20th July, booking day at Kassia, and in the days that followed, more units were transacted. Why is Kassia this sought after? SINGAPORE: The construction industry’s challenges could continue for the rest of the year at least, despite support from the government, trade associations and banks.
This is expected to continue fuelling demand and pushing property prices up, experts said.

About 88% of developers recently polled by the National University of Singapore (NUS) indicated they were “very concerned” about high labour costs in the next six months, higher than the 71% in the first quarter.
Around 58% said they were worried about elevated building material costs, compared with 45.8% in the first quarter.

UOL Group—controlled by billionaire Wee Cho Yaw—said it had sold more than half of a residential condominium project in northern Singapore launched over the weekend, reflecting robust demand in one of the world’s most expensive housing markets.

About 60% of the 448-unit The Watergardens at Canberra—the first private residential project launched in northern Singapore in over six years—were sold during the weekend launch, the company said late Sunday. Four-bedroom units were offered at below S$1.8 million ($1.3 million), while two-bedroom units were selling at about S$920,000 and three-bedroom units at less than S$1.3 million.
