Just when we thought we could finally breathe, another complication appeared.

At 20 weeks, I was diagnosed with complete placenta previa—meaning the placenta was covering the opening of my cervix. Suddenly, the rest of the pregnancy felt uncertain again, with concerns about bleeding, early delivery and whether the placenta would move.

All we could do was wait, take things one appointment at a time and hope for the best.

This is Part 3 and the final chapter of our pregnancy journey—a journey filled with fear and uncertainty, but one that ultimately brought us our little miracle, Kate. 🤍

After everything we went through in Part 1, another difficult decision awaited us.

Because Daniel carries a balanced translocation, there was a possibility that our baby could inherit a chromosomal imbalance. To find out more, we had to decide whether to undergo Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS)—an invasive test that also came with its own risks.

The procedure was frightening, but the waiting that followed felt even harder.

This is Part 2 of our pregnancy journey: the difficult decision, the CVS procedure and the results we prayed for. 🤍

We thought we had lost the pregnancy again.

After a miscarriage in April, finding out we were pregnant in June brought both excitement and fear. Then came the spotting, repeated blood tests and the agonising wait for every call from the doctor.

At our first scan, we discovered that we had conceived twins—but only one continued growing.

This is Part 1 of our pregnancy journey: the twin we never got to meet, and the little fighter who stayed. 🤍
