🏢 A Learning Moment on Singapore’s HDB History
Looking at the evolution of HDB over the decades, I’m reminded of how remarkable Singapore’s housing journey has been.

From the early Slab Blocks like Blk 105 Henderson Crescent, to the introduction of Point Blocks, the growth of the 1980s HDB towns, the era of Executive Apartments and Maisonettes. The clover-shaped at block 259 Ang Mo Kim Avenue known as The Colver @ Kebun Baru.
Today’s iconic developments such as Pinnacle@Duxton, each generation reflects Singapore’s ambition to build not just homes, but better communities.

What started as a solution to a housing crisis in 1960 has evolved into one of the world’s most admired public housing models.

We are here to help you avoid a mistake and know your options better....

BTO or Resale? The June 2026 launch shows that buying a home in Singapore is no longer just about “getting a flat” — it’s about choosing the lifestyle and trade-offs that fit your future.

The upcoming June 2026 BTO exercise will launch close to 6,900 flats across Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Bukit Merah, Sembawang and Woodlands.

The hottest projects are likely to be:
• Bishan (Lakeview near Marymount MRT)
• Bukit Merah (Berlayar near Telok Blangah MRT / GSW)
• Ang Mo Kio (near Mayflower MRT)

Why are these projects attractive?
✅ Mature estates
✅ Near MRT stations
✅ Popular schools nearby
✅ Strong future upside potential
✅ Nature parks and lifestyle amenities

But there’s a catch.

These projects are likely to fall under the Plus or Prime category, which means:
• 10-year MOP
• Stricter resale/rental rules
• Subsidy clawback upon resale

So while buyers may secure a premium location, they may also lose flexibility if life circumstances change over time.

On the other hand, Standard BTOs in Sembawang and Woodlands may:
✔ Have less competition
✔ Be more affordable
✔ Come with fewer restrictions
✔ Potentially offer shorter waiting times

And then there’s the resale market.

Yes, resale flats are more expensive, but buyers are paying for:
• Immediate move-in
• No balloting uncertainty
• Wider choices
• Only 5-year MOP
• More flexibility

Some notable resale alternatives mentioned:
• Natura Loft (DBSS) in Bishan
• Telok Blangah ParcView in Bukit Merah
• Ang Mo Kio Court in AMK

At the end of the day, there’s no “best” option.

The real question is:
What kind of lifestyle, flexibility, timeline and financial commitment are YOU comfortable with?

This XBC 1.0 with the Champion Team will always be one of the most memorable journeys for me.

Many people ask why I keep coming back to XBC 1.0 as a facilitator.

Because this is the place that helped me grow as a person.A place where I learned through real-life experiences, discovered more about myself, and kept improving year after year.

People often see the wins, but not many know the journey behind them.

Yes, I’ve been part of many winning teams in XBC 1.0 today, but before that, I went through countless camps and countless losses. It took me almost 7 years before achieving my very first win.

Everyone has their own journey.Some move faster, some take longer.

For me, the biggest takeaway was learning persistence not giving up, continuing to show up, and pushing forward until success eventually comes.

This batch of teammates experienced that journey together with me.

We ended Day 1 in 11th position.On the final day, we started in 4th place but on the wrong side of the chart.

At that moment, I had two choices:Give up… or continue believing in them.

I chose to persist because I saw the hunger, desire, and potential in every single one of them.

More importantly, I wanted them to experience what it feels like to practice winning.

They trusted themselves.They trusted the process.And they persisted together with me.

Nobody truly knows the outcome.All we can do is give our best, believe in ourselves, and keep moving forward.

This camp once again reminded me of the power behind XBC the belief, vision, and culture created by
