Re: Clarification Regarding the Incident Involving the Late SSPDF Officer, 2nd Lt. Marop Dongrin and Late Agoth Bol

On behalf of Amuk for Trading and Investment Company Limited, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late 2nd Lt. Marop Dongrin Yak, and Mr. Agoth Bol who tragically passed away on Friday, 8th November and 11th November 2024 respectively, following an unfortunate incident in Kuajok. We are profoundly saddened by their loss and offer our thoughts and prayers to those affected during this challenging time. Our hearts go out to the families, and we stand in solidarity. extending our unwavering support and condolences as we navigate this shared tragedy.

While we respect the Warrap State Government's ongoing investigation into the incident. it is crucial to provide context on the circumstances surrounding the incident and in Kuajok.

Incident Summary: On Tuesday, 5th November 2024, the late 2nd Lt. Marop Dongrin presented an official letter to AMUK's Kuajok management, as an es**rt protection mission to Kuajok and subsequently to Bentiu for the lowbed and fuel trucks to Unity State, and also oversee the demobilization of the equipment around Kuajok to AMUK compound. Regrettably, a misunderstanding arose when some employees expressed concerns regarding their outstanding payments after a successful demobilization of the equipment to the compound, resulting in heightened tensions. This confrontation culminated in violence on Thursday, 7th November 2024, were late 2nd Lt. Marop Dongrin and driver Mr. Agoth Bol were injured, an outcome we deeply regretted.

AMUK denounces any acts of violence and is actively cooperating with the authorities to ensure a thorough investigation of this matter. We trust that the legal process will fairly and impartially address the incident's complexities, upholding justice for all involved.

Pursuit of Legal Measures: We firmly believe that justice must prevail, and we entrust the appropriate authorities with delivering a comprehensive investigation that will reveal the full truth behind the incident. AMUK reiterates its commitment to the rule of law, accountability, and the welfare of our employees and the communities we serve.

On an official visit for road construction project from Wunrok, Ajak-kuac and Abiemnom, The team led by Corporates and Public Relations and Pandit Camp Manager plus other staffs inspected the road networks and it was successfully passable up to Abiemnom. Though there are number of issues slowing the project including insecurity particularly in Ajak-kuac of Twic, Amuk and subcontractors have made it possible to connect through. The team further assess the road from Wunrok to Mayen-abun leading to Abyei, the construction is in better progress and Abek construction company has connected Wunrok to Mayen-Abun and they're nine (9) and half kilo away from Mayen-Abun. Team also had an opportunity to interact with Twic commissioner of Warrap State to discuss range issues of concerns and he was positive and promised to do his best to supports the project. On the same note, local authorities in Abiemnom have never been spare from Engagement where the pledges their supports and willingly gave land for camp establishment to Amuk for Trading and Investment company Limited - ATICO LTD. The management of Amuk promises to deliver the project on time as plans and wish by the government and people of South Sudan.

AMuk for Trading and Investment Company Limited (ATICO-LTD) is constructing a road from Bentiu to Mayom, Abiemnom and Ajak-kuac of Twic from Warrap State and Bentiu to Pariang, Yinda and Jau respectively. The road from Bentiu to Mayom is only left with 15 KM to complete and expected to be completed in one week time. The Amuk team accompanied by Unity State Governor Hon. Joseph Manytuil also assessed the road from Bentiu to Mayom, Bentiu to Pariang, Yida, and Jau. The Road connecting Mayom to Abiemnom linking to Ajak-kuac of Twic County Warrap State is in speedy progress under Kilimanjaro construction company and GCC Company who are sub- Contractors to Amuk for Trading and Investment Company Limited. AMMARS and NITEK construction companies are greatly handling Bentiu to Mayom where they're expected to complete before two weeks time. They have actually completed their second layers and left with Marram to secure complete road networks linking those areas. The Bentiu, Pariang, Yida and Jau 's road is done and passable.

Bentiu-Tuesday, 28th March 2023. Governor H.E Lt Gen Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang on Tuesday met with the consortium of three Companies of Amuk, Dolphin and Ammars General Trading contracted to construct road connecting Bentiu, Mayom County and Bharelgazal region.

The consortium of three companies led by Amuk General trading company briefed Governor Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang on the preliminary preparation to start road construction, including site identification as the temporary base for the construction machines and equipment.

In his remarks, Governor H.E Dr Joseph Manytuil Wejang welcomed the consortium of three Companies contracted to construct road that links Unity State with Bharelgazal regions, where he described as vital step towards building sustainable development in the Country.Manytuil also pledged to support the construction companies with all necessary support they needed from the state government.

H.E. Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang said the state government has already started clearing of bushes on the new proposed Rotriak- Kaikang and Mayom County road. Manytuil added that the new proposed road would be sustainable and durable, and easier for the construction companies to complete it on time since its high ground without water, compared to old Bentiu- Mayom road submerged by devastating flood.

Eng. Aduot madit, the Operation Manager of Amuk General trading company, said they are already to start road construction between Bentiu, Mayom County, and Ajakuac Payam of Twic County, Warrap State.
