Easter message from Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Nyamlel, ECSS Right Reverend Peter Garang Akuei.

I'm Bishop Peter Garang Akuei, the Diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Nyamlel. As we're celebrating the Easter in St. Peter's cathedral today. This is very important occasion in the Christianity, All Christians believe the risen Lord has come to save us from sins.

We thank for what he has done. today is a very important day. we're a live, we remember Jesus died and resurrected from death. This symbolise those who believe in Christ will rise to live when he comes in his glory in the heaven.

we call upon, our brothers and sisters from the globe to take the word of God as one of important items in their lives. we also call upon our government of the Republic of South Sudan to take this season as a season of peace and love to forgive each other and forgive those who wrong one another.

We pray for peace, love, unity and prosperity in this Nation, we pray for peace to come so that the message of the Christ can spread as far as Jesus wants us to go.

We thank those who will go and find this message. May peace and love plus victory be upon us. In the name of the father of the son of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

On behalf of ECSS Diocese of Nyamlel Coordination office in Juba and on my own behalf I would like to congratulate Right Revd Canon William Deng Deng ( Deng Raandit) for the trust bestowed upon him by the people of God to be elected into the Episcopacy as the second Diocesan Bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of Aweil. It is worth to note that the Episcopal Church is synodically led and Episcopally governed. On behalf of the House of laity I congratulate you for this great responsibility which is not new to you since you had served people God long time ago. May God's grace be up in you to discharge your responsibilities successfully

Christmas message from Diocesan Bishop of ECSS, Diocese of Nyamlel to the government of South Sudan and families celebrating Christmas.

Merry Christmas and prosperous New year.

I'm Bishop Peter Garang Akuei, The Episcopal Diocese of Nyamlel, Anglican Communion. Northern Bahr Ghazal internal province. we're happy to celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and we hope this season brings changes to our family and nation. we pray for peace and hope in our country.

we pray that the government of South Sudan and those holdout groups plus those who 're detained in the prison and those detained at home should be released and then the discussion should be encouraged, so that we talk and iron all the grievances so that we live in peace as brothers and sisters.

we call upon the government of Northern Bahr Ghazal state in the counties and all other counties near to this state to practice peace, let's practice peace with our neighbours states like Warrap, Western Bahr Ghazal state and Abyei administrative area and even our brothers from the North who are staying with us here. we pray for all the government in Juba so that our president Gen Salva Kiir bring the lasting peace to this country, the country that he served and worked tirelessly to manage to bring us upto this location.

we pray for the New Sudan to have a new vision so that the president brings us to the light and whatever, we shared let the Lord be within. we pray for his health, we pray for the wisdom, we pray for the decision he makes from time to time. may the Lord bless South Sudan.

We pray for our primate and all the Bishops who are serving the Lord in the different Dioceses, we pray for our Archbishop of Northern Bahr Ghazal internal province and we pray for our state.

May the peace of God be upon us all in the name of the father of the son and Holy spirit. Amen.

The ECSS Diocese of Nyamlel Coordination office in Juba met with Right Reverend Bishop Peter Garang Akuei Chok today in Juba upon his missionary visits to Nairobi and Juba respectively, the meeting was successful and concentrate on a number critical issues pertaining to the development of the Diocese of Nyamlel, the meeting was held at the ECSS Guest House in Juba.

South Sudan Episcopal Church calls new Archbishop of Canterbury’s appointment “sad”

The Episcopal Church of South Sudan has expressed disappointment over the appointment of Rt. Rev. Dame Sarah Mullally as the new Archbishop of Canterbury, describing the decision as “sad.”

In a statement released by Archbishop Justin Badi Arama, the Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan, the church said the new head of the Anglican Communion is known for supporting same-sex marriage — a stance they strongly oppose.

Archbishop Badi noted that during a Synod in February 2023, Dame Mullally referred to the Church of England’s decision to allow priests to bless same-sex couples as “a moment of hope for the Church.”

Rt. Rev. Dame Sarah Mullally replaces Most Rev. Justin Welby, who has led the Church of England since 2013.
