Before becoming a real estate agent, not many people know that I worked as a Personal Assistant to a Taiwanese CEO for 5 years.
Looking back, I realize that those 5 years taught me much more than just how to work. They prepared me for who I am becoming today.
What I learned:
• Reply fast — but reply accurately. Speed means nothing if the information isn’t right. (Now still in the process of improving.)
• Be ready when needed. Being dependable means being prepared, not only when it’s convenient.
• Detailed
• Learn what my client needs. Communication is the key. Don’t just listen to what people say — learn to understand what they truly want.
• Learn continuously. My boss couldn’t speak much Thai or English, so I learned Chinese to communicate better. I was not the best Chinese speaker in the company, but I learned to keep improving myself. By the grace of God, God help me every time.
• Survey properties, especially luxury properties. I learned to pay attention to details, quality, location, and what makes a property truly valuable.
• Integrity matters. What I do for my boss, I believe I am ultimately doing for God. He sees everything, even the things nobody else sees. And He will reward us when we choose to do what is right.
• Say sorry when I make a mistake. No excuses. Acknowledge it, learn from it, adjust, and do better.
This week, I found myself thanking God for my previous Taiwanese boss and everything I learned during those 5 years.
At that time, I didn’t realize it.
But today, I can see that God was preparing me — step by step — for what I am doing now.
From working as a Personal Assistant to becoming a global real estate agent, working with people from many countries. Not for money, but helping people first, give them value and rewards follow.
