Starting May 1, Thailand will replace the TM6 paper arrival form with the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)—and confusion is already setting in.

The TDAC is mandatory for all non-Thai passport holders, requiring online submission of travel details before entry. Travelers receive a QR code for immigration, but unclear instructions, system glitches, and accessibility concerns are raising alarms.

With no clarity on paper backups or support for those without smartphones, and rumors of the TDAC doubling as a customs form, many fear immigration won’t be ready in time.
