Most people look at Dubai first. The brand is strong, the hype is real. But run the numbers and the picture shifts - villa entry starts at $450K, and service fees eat another $15K a year. Your budget doesn’t get you through the door.

Bali sells the dream well. Cheap, tropical, passive income by the ocean. The part that gets skipped is the legal structure. Foreigners cannot hold freehold in Indonesia. What you buy is a leasehold: a 25 to 30 year rental agreement dressed up as ownership. The asset goes back when the clock runs out.

Phuket isn’t winning this comparison because we build there. It wins because the numbers are hard to argue with. Freehold from $300K. Net yield of 12 to 14 percent. A title that actually belongs to you.
