The Turkish Republic of North Cyprus is a real "country of universities".
According to the organization of planning, evaluation and accreditation of higher education, at the moment there are 16 universities in North Cyprus, and same number of universities are expected to open in the near future.
In total, 4,529 people work at TRNC universities, and the number of students is almost 101,000.
Universities of the TRNC are quite popular among foreigners. First of all, this is due to the high level of education and, in fact, the wonderful conditions of education, among which affordable prices for education and accommodation.
A big plus is the simplified conditions for students to come to North Cyprus. The state does not establish visa restrictions on the crossing of the country's territory and simplifies the procedure for obtaining a visa to Cyprus.
The procedure for admission to universities for foreign applicants is rather simplified - the only requirements are a certificate of secondary education and knowledge of the English language, confirmed by the TOEFL or IELTS exams. In all high schools of the TRNC, training is conducted in English and the American system. However, if the applicant does not speak English, preparatory language courses are available for all universities.
