🏡 The Turkish Real Estate Market Maintains Its Momentum – September 2025 🇹🇷
Housing sales across Türkiye rose by 6.9% year-on-year, reaching 150,657 units in September 2025.
📍 Top Provinces by Sales
Istanbul: 24,119 units
Ankara: 13,417 units
Izmir: 8,544 units
In contrast, the provinces with the lowest number of sales were:
Ardahan: 70 units
Bayburt: 117 units
Tunceli: 142 units
💰 Mortgage (Financed) Sales
Mortgage-based housing sales increased to 21,266 units, accounting for 14.1% of total sales.
During the period January–September, mortgage sales surged by 76.0%, reaching 162,493 units.
🏗️ New (First-Hand) Sales
A total of 47,117 new units were sold, representing 31.3% of total housing sales.
New home sales grew by 5.0% year-on-year, reaching 342,641 units in January–September (+13.9%).
🏠 Second-Hand (Resale) Sales
Second-hand home sales reached 103,540 units, making up 68.7% of the total.
They increased by 7.8% year-on-year, bringing the total for January–September to 786,086 units (+21.6%).
🌍 Foreign Buyers
Sales to foreigners fell by 7.7%, totaling 1,867 units (a 1.2% share of total sales).
Top provinces for foreign property purchases:
Istanbul: 744 units
Antalya: 557 units
Mersin: 124 units
