Sometimes the greatest luxury isn’t a five-star hotel… it’s uninterrupted thinking time.
Yesterday I escaped into the mountains above Manavgat.
Fresh air. Turquoise water. Ancient landscapes. A simple meal made from fresh local ingredients. Good conversation. No rushing. No constant notifications.
It’s remarkable what happens when we slow down.
Problems that seemed overwhelming begin to shrink.
New ideas emerge.
Priorities become clearer.
Sometimes we don’t need more information—we simply need the time and space to think.
So many of us spend our lives making decisions whilst distracted, exhausted or under pressure.
What if we gave ourselves permission to step away for a day or two?
To breathe.
To reflect.
To ask better questions.
Because the biggest breakthroughs often don’t happen in a boardroom.
They happen beside a lake…
on a mountain path…
over breakfast with someone who listens well…
or simply in the quiet moments when we finally hear ourselves think.
This is one of the reasons I believe so deeply in personal retreats.
Not as an escape from life…
But as a way of returning to it with greater clarity, renewed energy and a fresh perspective.
Sometimes changing your surroundings is the first step towards changing your future. 💚
