There are many interesting boat trips and excursions available in the village or you can also visit the ancient ruins of Knidos and Kaunos or visit the remains of the Roman city Hierapolis and bathe in the city's thermal waters or spend a while basking at the calcified waterfalls of Pamukkale, near to the city of Dixizli. Alternatively, just relax in this sun soaked stunning corner of Turkey. The local towns of Dalaman and Ortaca are just 15 minutes away by car or you can take the little dolmus buses. The larger resort town of Dalyan is just 30 minutes drive away which is overlooked by the imposing rock tombs of the Lycian kingdom cut high into the mountainside above the town. It the also the breeding ground for the loggerhead turtles and you can watch the turtles swim or visit the famous mud baths and hot springs of Sultaniye and the Iztuzu beach. Just 50 mins away in Fethiye you can climb the ancient Lycian rocks tombs or explore the stunning national park surrounding Oludeniz with its glorious beaches, sparkling blue lagoon and fabulous walking opportunities in the pine clad mountains which frame the bay. The villa is within easy access to all amenities, including the local Sarigerme shops, Sunday market for bargain hunting, and many excellent bars and restaurants for eating out. There is a big market on Tuesdays in Fethiye which is under an hour's journey from Sarigerme village.
