Recently, we were honored to welcome a research team from Chiba University, Japan, to Pure co-living.
Our conversation explored co-living operations in Taiwan, public-private housing collaborations, how shared spaces encourage human connection, and how co-living may respond to urban loneliness and contemporary housing challenges.
From leasing strategy, rent positioning, renovation costs, and development risks to long-term operational planning, we shared Pure’s on-the-ground experience in Taipei’s Wenshan District. Through this exchange, we also discovered meaningful connections with Japan’s work in regional revitalization, housing planning, and social development.
A city is shaped not only by buildings and systems, but also by how people live, meet, and build relationships in everyday life. We look forward to more Taiwan–Japan exchanges, creating places that are rooted in industry, enriched by daily life, and sustained through meaningful human connection.

這次對話圍繞台灣共居空間的經營模式、社宅與民間合作的可能、空間如何促成人與人的互動，以及共居是否能回應當代城市中的孤獨與居住課題。
從招租、租金定位、翻新成本，到開發風險與長期營運藍圖，我們分享了 Pure 在台北文山的實際經驗，也從日本的地方創生、住宅規劃與社會議題中，看見彼此可以持續對話的方向。
城市的發展，不只關於建築與制度，也關於人如何生活、相遇，並在日常中建立連結。期待台日之間有更多共好交流，讓地方成為有產業、有生活，也有吸引力的永續場域。
