Kernel has announced an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on August 30, 2021.
According to the company's statement on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, among the issues to be considered by shareholders is permission to repurchase up to 19.2 million of its shares in the amount of $ 250 million. The purchase price of shares must be at least PLN 50 ($ 14.26) above 65 zlotys ($ 16.8). It is planned to repurchase the shares within two years.
The company notes that it plans to invite shareholders to approve the decision, as the company and its subsidiaries have accumulated significant liquidity and do not have any new attractive investment opportunities in the short term. The meeting will also consider a plan to encourage management, the appointment of Peternel Bogaard as the new non-executive director, and issues of amending the company's charter.
