The cost of rent in Ukraine has increased by 10-15% since the beginning of 2021. At the same time, small-sized apartments in old buildings located near the metro or other transport interchanges became more expensive. By the end of the year, prices may jump by another 10-15%.

First of all, prices rose due to an increase in demand by 20-25%. After that, prices will return to 2019, experts say.

"Flying saucer" on the street. Antonovich, 180 near the Lybedskaya metro station in the early 70's was built more contrary to the political regime than thanks to him.

The uniqueness of the project is in the two-layer shell of the building.

Initially, the Kiev architect Florian Yuryev designed "Plate" as a light and music theater with an acoustic hall. But the party leadership and the KGB did not like this idea, so instead of a light theater there was a movie theater, and instead of light music installations - frescoes in the genre of social realism. The spherical shape of the object provided the exceptional acoustics in the room, necessary for the operation of the lighting theater. It is interesting that the shape of the plate is not only an aesthetic feature, it solves the problem of too narrow an area set aside for the construction of the building in which the state scientific institution "UkrINTEI" is located. Yuryev literally lifted the object into the air, leaving room for pedestrians.

To clothe the object in the shape of a "plate" Yuryev had to get a monolithic concrete. But this material was strictly quoted by the ruling elite, it was then accepted to build from reinforced concrete. To carry out the monolithic construction, the architect had to obtain permission and a personal signature of the secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU of Ukraine.
