The cost of rent in Ukraine has increased by 10-15% since the beginning of 2021. At the same time, small-sized apartments in old buildings located near the metro or other transport interchanges became more expensive. By the end of the year, prices may jump by another 10-15%.
The maximum price increase (by 15%) was recorded in the largest cities - Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv, Dnipro and Kyiv. In other regional centers increased by 5-10%. Such data from the Segodnya website were provided by the Association of Real Estate Specialists (AFNU).Why housing has risen in price
First of all, prices rose due to an increase in demand by 20-25%. Demand (as well as prices themselves) has not yet reached the peak values of pre-crisis 2019, but is gradually striving for it.If the socio-economic situation remains unchanged, the cost of rent by the end of 2021 will increase by an average of 10-15%. After that, prices will return to 2019, experts say.
