The commissioning of housing in Ukraine in the first half of 2021 increased by 29.5% compared to the same period in 2020 - up to 4.797 million square meters. m, writes Interfax with reference to the State Statistics Service.According to the report, 3.283 million square meters have been commissioned in the cities since the beginning of the year. m of housing (68.4% of the total), in rural areas - 1.514 million square meters. At the same time, 41.8% of the total amount of housing was introduced in one-apartment houses, 57.8% - in houses with two or more apartments, 0.4% - in dormitories.

In 2021, Kyiv improved its position in the Best Cities Reports 2021 ranking, rising from 139th to 87th place. Thus, the Ukrainian capital for the first time got into the first hundred of the list of Best Cities. This was reported by the Department of Economics and Investment of the Kyiv City State Administration, citing the American rating publication Best Cities Reports 2021.

Best Cities Reports 2021 is the sixth issue with a comprehensive ranking of cities around the world for living, working, investing and traveling from Resonance Consultancy.

The publication calls Kyiv one of the most expressive cities, colorful and bright as a national flag, compares buildings in the capital with Easter eggs and depicts the hills of the Dnieper River with the golden cathedrals of the extreme sky. In particular, the section on monuments and sights mentions the objects included in the List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Ukraine - St. Sophia Cathedral and Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, as well as St. Michael's Golden-Domed and St. Vladimir's Cathedrals. The museums of the capital took 27th place among all museums in the world.
