If you’ve been an internet user at any point since the mid-aughts, you might think you’re familiar with the photo of Paris Hilton wearing a slogan tee that read “Stop Being Poor” at the launch of her sister Nicky’s clothing line in 2005. By the time Hilton revealed that it was Photoshopped in an Instagram captioned “debunking the myth” last year, it was already too late: The public will forever remember (and continue) to circulate the image that was fake. In fact, 17 years later, it appears to still be fresh on the mind of Vetements’s Guram Gvasalia. On Thursday, he brought a version of it back at the presentation of the label’s spring 2023 collection which happened to be held during Paris Haute Couture Week.

Thus, I was drawn to the above sandals on J.Crew's website. I honestly just liked the '90s-inspired feel of the canvas-and-leather uppers, which also looked like they would sufficiently hold my feet in. And you can't go wrong with a block heel when it comes to walkability. Plus, like literally everything on jcrew.com at one point or another, they were heavily discounted.

Thanks to block heels and a wide strap, your feet stay put. Really.

The biggest night in Broadway took over New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night, with Oscar winner Ariana DeBose as host. The Tony Awards have been quite the fashion-forward affair in recent years, and the 2022 festivities were no exception.

DeBose followed up her no-miss awards season sartorial streak with a custom sequined Boss gown on the red carpet, while Judith Light arrived in a striped Thom Browne matching set and Jordan Roth repped emerging designers in custom Luchen.
