THE NATIONAL LAND POLICY VALIDATION AND RESEARCH WORKSHOP
10TH - 12TH DECEMBER 2025,
AT SPEKE RESORT MUNYONYO, KAMPALA
Government of Uganda adopted the National Land Policy in 2013 as a policy framework to guide the efficient, equitable and sustainable utilization and management of Uganda’s land and land-based resources for socio-economic transformation.
After ten years of policy implementation, the Ministry undertook a Policy Implementation Performance Assessment (2023), which revealed significant progress and provided justification for a comprehensive policy review in line with Government practice.
A key stakeholder engagement will therefore take place to finalize a well-aligned and nationally supported land policy framework.
Attendance is by invitation.

🌍🏞️ ACTogether Uganda and the National Slum Dwellers Federation of Uganda (NSDFU) joins the 9th National Land Awareness Week!

From August 24–30, 2025, we will be in the Bugisu and Sebei sub-regions alongside the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, district local governments, cultural leaders, civil society, and other partners.

This year’s theme is “Promoting Land Rights for Sustainable Land Use, for Inclusive and Sustainable Development.” Together, we aim to tackle challenges such as land conflicts, land grabbing, displacement, and environmental degradation while empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups to secure their land rights.

Activities will include community dialogues, legal aid clinics, youth engagements, and tree planting 🌱 all geared towards sustainable and inclusive development.

👉 Let’s work together to promote land rights, protect our environment, and build a future where every Ugandan has secure access to land!
