❄️ Winter Weather Update | Village of Pinehurst ❄️ As of Jan. 23 at 9 a.m.

The Village of Pinehurst is preparing for an approaching winter storm that may bring icy conditions, extreme cold, and potential power outages. Please review the following updates and plan accordingly:

🚧 Roads & Travel
Village crews have pre-treated roadways. Hazardous conditions are still expected as temperatures drop below freezing. Please limit travel if possible and use caution if you must be on the roads.

🏛️ Facility Closures
• Parks and recreation facilities are closed Saturday and Sunday, including rentals
• Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives are closed Saturday and Sunday

🚛 Solid Waste & Recycling
Due to the closure of the Moore County Landfill on Monday, curbside solid waste and recycling collection will operate on a one-day delay, beginning Monday, January 26. This scheudle may be futher altered due to road conditions.

📅 Meeting Rescheduled
The Sandhills Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMPO) Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) Public Workshop scheduled for Monday has been rescheduled to Monday, February 9.

🏠 Emergency Shelters
Moore County is the lead agency for emergency shelter operations. The shelter will open Friday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. (155 Hillcrest Park Lane, Carthage)
