Getting preapproved doesn’t mean your financing is guaranteed until closing.

Lenders may verify your employment again shortly before closing, and new debt can change the numbers used to approve your loan. That “no payments for 12 months” furniture purchase still counts as new credit.

Until you have the keys, avoid opening credit cards, financing large purchases, changing jobs or moving money between accounts without speaking to your lender first.

A five-minute phone call could prevent a delayed or lost closing.

Save this for your future home purchase. 🏡
