Today is my birthday, but my heart is carrying both gratitude and grief.

Four years ago today, my daughter Linda sent me this simple message: “Happy Birthday, I love you.” I replied, “Love you more.” At the time, I never imagined that would be the last birthday message I would ever receive from her. Just three months later, in December 2022, she passed away.

Birthdays haven’t felt the same since. I’m grateful that God has allowed me to see another year, but I miss my daughter more than words could ever express. Today, I’m holding this message close and remembering what a blessing it is to be her mother. That will never change.

I would give anything to receive one more birthday message from you. I love you more, Linda then, now, and forever. 🕊️❤️
