For today's "Whatcha Know Wednesday" let's talk about equity. If you've owned your home for a while you might be surprised at just how much equity you have!

I always get tickled when someone tells me, "but Zillow says...". Zillow provides a "zestimate" of what they *think* your property *may* be worth. It's important to know that Texas is a Non-Disclosure state, meaning actual sales prices are not recorded as public record...therefore Zillow can only estimate. Knowing your home's true value is paramount for understanding the equity you may have built over the years.
