Ok, where are all my curly girls?! If you know me, I hardly ever straighten my hair. I really struggle with frizz and an oily scalp. I have used the same products that I love for years. My amazing hairstylist moved out of Abilene about a year ago, and I have been struggling to find someone I can trust to cut and style my curls. I came across Swavycurlycourtney on YouTube and started watching some of her videos to practice getting the best curls. Well, she is in Abilene and taking new clients!!!! So, I booked an appointment, hoping for the best. And let me tell me I was blown away! Not only did I get a great cut, but she also explained every step she took, taught me about the products she used, and showed me how to use them. If you have not heard of Courtney, go watch her YouTube and make an appointment. You will not be disappointed! I'll put my before pictures in the comments.

FUEGO TORTILLA GRILL TO OPEN IN ABILENE!

The popular taco shop is officially coming to Abilene, joining existing Texas locations in College Station, San Marcos, Waco, San Antonio, and Burleson.
They have filed permits to renovate the former Chick-fil-A building at 3130 S Clack St.
Fuego is known for its freshly made tortillas, creative tacos, and being open 24-hours, 6 days a week!
Construction is expected to begin at the end of March with an estimated completion of mid-July!

🥶WINTER STORM WATCH FOR THIS WEEKEND 🥶
An Arctic Blast is heading our way, and our area could see significant accumulations of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, along with frigid temperatures, beginning Friday night.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures from early Saturday morning through early Monday morning are likely to remain below freezing throughout, with a high chance that temperatures stay below 20 degrees all day Saturday, and temperatures could fall below 10 degrees early Sunday morning. Right now, the NWS is forecasting around a 60% chance of at least an inch of snow across the area.
Be sure to prepare by winterizing your home, bringing inside any plants or animals, and stocking supplies like extra drinking water, blankets, first-aid supplies, non-perishable food, and emergency heating sources that don’t require electricity.

DD'S DISCOUNTS IS COMING TO S. CLACK STREET: The "Deep Discount" department store is officially heading to Abilene! 🛍️📉 dd's Discounts has filed permits to open a new location in the busy Shops at Abilene center.

The $950,000 project involves the full interior renovation of a 21,438-square-foot retail space.

Construction is scheduled to begin on May 1, 2026, with a target completion date of November 1, 2026.
