Plumbing access was left open so I installed a sheet of reinforced plastic with screws instead of a drywall patch. Now plumbing can be easily accessed by removing a few screws. Of course after cleaning up the jagged edge. The oscillating tool has become my go-to favourite in the toolbox!

Amazing how much debris a rehab generates. Here is the pile on the patio and loaded into a trailer on the way to landfill. 2700 pounds!

I appreciate a quality hack, but some fixes are just plain lazy. I was curious why there was a painted red blank wall plate in a weirdly low spot on the wall. It was screwed into the drywall to avoid patching the drywall.

Here is an innovative solution to a non-ideal bedroom closet door and entry door collision. The closet door handle gouges the entrance door. A thick piece of acrylic sheet cut down and attached it to the back of the bedroom door makes a convenient strike plate.
