The Garfield Senior Living is a family-owned business started by the Gilmore family in July of 2020. The Gilmore's purchased the historic Garfield elementary school from the Abilene Public School District and converted it into independent senior living apartments. The charm and spaciousness of each individual apartment complies with the National Historic Registry.

- Individual, private, 1-&-2 bedroom apartment homes (14 1-bedroom / 4 2-bedtoom)
- Month to month rental program
- 24- hour live-in managers
- Full kitchen with full size refrigerator/stove/dishwasher/microwave
- Full size washer and dryer
- Individual climate control
- Exercise room
- Elevator for 2nd floor apartments
- Rent is all inclusive covering utilities/fiberoptic internet/basic cable
- Some weekly/monthly activities scheduled
- Outdoor gardening spots available if interested
- One dog or cat is allowed- resident must clean up after their own pets

- Lunch provided Monday-Friday except holidays and when the Abilene Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather

- Apartments range in size from 627 square feet to 1,322 square feet
- Rent ranges between $1,750.00 - $2,650.00 and is all inclusive
