It was sort of eerie tonight, when I stumbled across this video I made two years ago while I walking a bit of The Virginia Creeper Trail near home. This was taken on April 10th, 2024, just a little over five months before Hurricane Helene did her thing to upper half of the trail between Damascus & Whitetop. This trestle ( #46) was removed this spring and is scheduled to be rebuilt to resemble the old one. I sure will miss the old one, though. It was always one of my favorites. What about you? #
