John comes from a fantastically diverse background, beginning his career as a television anchor/reporter with ABC and CBS, and a decade later serving as an Executive in corporate sales with the world’s largest independent user of long steel products, the Bekaert Corporation, and the world’s largest privately owned company, Cargill, Inc.
John has successfully led sales teams managing more than $150 million in annual revenue across the America’s, providing specialty wire products for companies like the manufacturer of the iconic toy, Slinky, to hook and eye wire used for securing brassieres.
As an Executive in corporate sales, John earned many opportunities that required relocation, the last of which brought him and his family to North Georgia in 2007. John’s family immediately fell in love with Georgia, it is here that they made their decision to secure their roots.
Corporate relocation has played a significant part in the Grattafiori’s lives. As a result, John and his wife Karen gravitated toward what came naturally, helping families like theirs purchase and sell homes across the North Atlanta suburbs. Karen Grattafiori
Karen has vast experience in the administrative arena. With a keen focus on detail, one of Karen’s specialties is with contracts, a very important step in real estate transactions. Her past positions include Contracts Administrator for an international oil drilling company in Dallas, TX, Medical Staff Coordinator for a hospital and surgical center in Beaumont, TX, and Special Projects Administrator for a telecommunications company in Indianapolis, IN.
When Karen and her family moved to Georgia in 2007, following another job transfer for her husband, John, Karen easily obtained her Real Estate license, crossing the path from being a client to becoming a Real Estate professional. She quickly realized her love for the business. Karen’s first clients were John and herself. They purchased their first rental property, fixed it up, and continue to grow their investment business today.
As a family that faced multiple transfers resulting in numerous home purchases and sales, and as investors, The Grattafiori Group shares a perspective from the client’s point of view. It’s that perspective, and their ability to foster personal relationships with their clients, that has helped them climb to one of the top producing teams in their Keller Williams office.
