Hey Y'all! If you've been with me through my MarketWatch series, you know this weekend took me to Carrollton for MayFest. I was worried we would get rained out but it turned out to be a beautiful, if breezy, day for it.

This series gives me a chance to follow the art and farmer's markets I so enjoy and check out the communities hosting them. I love seeing what my money will buy in the different locations and am fascinated to see what matters to my buyers. It all helps define and find your next perfect place!

Carrollton is known as a college town, with UWG and West Georgia Technical College here. The arts are alive and well and there's always something to do. Saturday mornings are for the Cotton Mill Farmer's Market, rain or shine and year round. The dining and shopping options offer something for everyone and the parks and Greenbelt provide excellent outdoor recreation.

From the moment the buyer walked into the open house last weekend I knew he was the one. I even texted my seller, "Your buyer just left" when he pulled out of the driveway. By Monday morning I heard from his agent. Tuesday we had an offer and, after some thoughtful negotiations on both sides, today we are under contract!

Hey Y'all! This weekend brings what is traditionally the second market of the season in my Market Watch series. The Big Shanty Festival is a favorite, for sure! I look forward to seeing some of my favorite vendors that I buy from every year and discovering new ones. I am at capacity for most things I like to look at but I still like to look. Today I found a wonderful handmade walking stick and found the lady who makes cuteblittle garden creature stakes and bought another pair.

Kennesaw has so much to offer beyond the Big Shanty, Taste of Kennesaw, and other festivals. Food, shopping, entertainment, KSU, arts, sports, parks, and easy access to Atlanta!
