🌱 Northeast Iowa Farmland Market Update – March 2026

The latest REALTORS® Land Institute (RLI) Iowa Chapter Land Value Survey shows farmland values in Northeast Iowa increased about 3.4% over the past six months, one of the stronger gains in the state.

Average values per acre in Northeast Iowa are currently around:
• High quality cropland: ~$14,919
• Medium quality cropland: ~$12,308
• Low quality cropland: ~$9,136

Statewide values were up about 1.3%, suggesting the land market is stabilizing after some softer movement the past couple of years. Limited land available for sale and steady demand from farmers continue to support prices when quality farms hit the market.
