Here’s a look at how the Hampden County single family housing market performed in January.
Year-over-year prices were up but prices peaked in June and have been steadily declining since. We continue to see extremely low new listings in the market which is really limiting options for buyers. There was one fewer new listing in January compared to last year which sets a new record for fewest January listings going back at least the last 25 years.
Despite this lack of inventory, it took about a week longer to sell last month than it did a year ago.
