"Aloha!

I know Melinda Pinter for many years since she helped me buy my townhouse in 2008 and again helped me in selling it on 3/19/20.

I have no idea about real estate as first-time home buyer and selling it after living there for 12 years was a very difficult task for me as a single mother. In order to get a good value for my house, Melinda recommended that I renovate the house but first take out all my stuff out so that it will be easier for the handyman to do the work. After the renovation, the house looks so good with new flooring, kitchen, appliances and fresh paint.

I was amazed after Melinda staged the house by herself for it looked so nice and appealing. It did not take long and I got an offer better than what I expected. It was challenging for there was no sales higher in my price in the building that the appraisal came lower than our contract price. However, with the negotiating skills of Melinda, Buyers come up more cash over the appraisal value that we proceeded to close the sale.

I was so grateful to Melinda that the sale was completed when the lockdown was declared due to COVID-19. I was furloughed from work because the hotel where I worked has been closed until now. Melinda was like an angel to me on the sale of my house; otherwise, I would be in trouble for how can I pay my mortgage without a job? Due to this long pandemic and without a job, I now subsist on the proceeds of the sale of my house.

I therefore strongly nominate Melinda Pinter of Coldwell Banker Realty for the Aloha Aina Realtor Awards because she is deserving of this award.

"My family has been living with the family of my stepson and my kids are getting bigger than the house is already small for us. I do not know how to go about buying a house for I never owned one. Fortunately, I mentioned my problem to my cousin who excitedly asked me to call Melinda who helped them in buying their house when they moved here from Los Angeles and she talked very highly about her.

Melinda practically hold my hand from finding the house that fits my family and connected me with a competent Loan Officer who worked for my loan. Melinda’s negotiating skills got me a good value for a very comfortable house that my family enjoyed, especially the kids who are staying home for their online schooling.

We are so fortunate to have Melinda Pinter as our Realtor because the purchase of our house went smoothly since the appraisal supported our contract price. And she has good rapport with the Seller’s Agent, who cooperated very well with us. Melinda is knowledgeable and professional but patient and kind throughout our dealings with her during the purchase of our house.
