Valentine’s Day dinner was fabulous!! We decided to have a home cooked meal, so JoAnn and I, along with our 4 children made a Valentine’s Day dinner feast! It started with Matthew peeling and cutting apples, while Sarah prepared the dough for her famous apple pie, all made from scratch. Our sides included Caesar salad, corn, egg plant with garlic sauce, deep fried shrimp, salmon Katsu, ahi katsu, ahi onion poke, madako tako onion poke, baked opakapaka with sweet onion, ginger and mayonnaise, steamed clams, baked salmon, bone-in ribeye steak and Sarah’s famous home made apple pie! Love was definitely in the air! Happy Valentine’s Day JoAnn! I love you!

It has been always been a tradition at the Agena house to open our gifts all together on Christmas morning. This is just a quick peek into all the fun, laughter and excitement at the Agena house on Christmas morning! After everyone is done opening their presents, the children gather around and I present them with our annual scavenger hunt. They follow clues, solve riddles and puzzes to find the hidden treasure hidden somewhere around the house. Every year, as the children get smarter and wiser, it becomes more difficult to create these scavenger hunts to keep challenging and fun at the same time. Merry Christmas from the Agena Family!

If you’re looking for a nice place to relax, do some leisurely shopping, get a bite to eat or a refreshing dessert, our family loves going to the International Market Place in Waikiki. There’s lots of parking and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. While you’re there, don’t forget to try the wooden rocking chairs on the upper level over looking the central garden area.
