Some homes feel like a transaction. And some feel like a story that was meant to unfold exactly the way it did.

These sweet friends of mine never gave up on their dream of owning a home in Alameda’s East End. We searched for months, chased opportunities, and endured a few really disappointing losses. But I’m a firm believer that everything is meant to be—and sometimes the right house just takes a little longer to find you.

And then one day, we were all sitting together on the pool deck at our kids’ water polo game when this house popped into my search.

We looked at each other. And somehow, we all just knew.

This was the one.

We moved quickly, attacked it with full and complete due diligence, and wrote a preemptive offer designed to entice the sellers to let it go before offer day.
