Xcel is planning a power outage Wednesday, April 22nd

A few things worth finding before Wednesday:

• Flashlights (not your phone flashlight at 9% battery)
• Extra batteries
• Charged phones and backup chargers
• Bottled water
• Easy food that doesn’t need a microwave
• Manual can opener
• Blankets if the house cools off
• Medications and anything medical that needs power charged ahead of time
• Fuel in vehicles if you need to leave town or charge devices
• A reminder of how to manually open your garage door if the power is off

And check on your neighbor or elderly family members not everyone sees every notice, and a quick heads-up can go a long way.

A little preparation now beats being irritated later.
