☀️ Oregon summers have a soundtrack.

For me, it’s the sound of sprinklers running, birds singing in the morning, and the occasional lawn mower somewhere down the street.

What’s the sound that says summer to you?

🌿 Crickets?
🌿 Kids playing outside?
🌿 The crack of a baseball bat?
🌿 Waves at the coast?
🌿 A campfire and friends laughing?

Tell me yours in the comments.

(And isn’t it amazing how certain sounds can make a house feel like home?)

A little backyard work today has me appreciating this space even more.

Question for you:

If you could change one thing about your current backyard, what would it be?

More privacy?
More room?
Less maintenance?
A covered patio?
A garden?

Or maybe it’s time for a whole new backyard. 😊

What do you miss most that Albany no longer has?

For me, it’s the Timber Carnival.

Looking at these old photos brings back so many memories of a different time in Albany.

The Timber Carnival was such a big part of growing up here: the excitement, the community, and seeing everyone come together. Albany has great new events like the NW Art and Air Festival and River Rhythms, but I do miss the Timber Carnival.

What’s something Albany used to have that you wish was still around?

A business, an event, a restaurant, a tradition… I’d love to hear your memories.

MYTH: Summer is always the best time to sell.

FACT: The best time to sell depends on your goals, timeline, and local market conditions.

Every seller’s situation is different. Sometimes summer is ideal. Sometimes waiting makes more sense.

If you’ve been wondering what your home might be worth or whether now is the right time to make a move, I’d be happy to help.

What’s one real estate question you’ve always wondered about? 👇

🌲 If you had a friend visiting Oregon for the very first time and only had one weekend to show them around the Willamette Valley, where would you take them?

My list would probably include:

🍷 A vineyard with a view
🥾 A favorite local hike
🌊 A day trip to the Oregon Coast

Honestly, narrowing it down to just a few places would be tough!

I’ve lived in Oregon most of my life, and sometimes I forget how incredible it is through the eyes of someone seeing it for the first time. From rolling vineyards and forested trails to rugged coastline and charming small towns, there’s so much to love.

So I’m curious…

If you had just one weekend to introduce someone to Oregon, what’s the one place they absolutely shouldn’t miss?

Every neighborhood has that one house. In 2026, those unicorns will stay on the market for exactly 14 days. Don’t get stuck with the leftovers.
