Just because your siding has plenty of clearance from the ground doesn’t mean it’s protected from moisture damage!

Out at a home inspection first thing this morning, and here’s a perfect example of why keeping vegetation trimmed back from your home is SO important! 🌿✂️

At first glance, the T1-11 siding has adequate ground clearance. However, along the bottom edge, we’re seeing extensive dry rot that needs repair.

💡 HOMEOWNER TIP: Vegetation growing against your home can trap moisture, restrict airflow, and contribute to wood deterioration over time.

A little preventative maintenance today could save you thousands in repairs down the road!

Oregon's system is genuinely different from most states. Your taxes are calculated on an assessed value that only grows up to 3% a year, no matter how much the market moves. That's why your neighbor's bill can look completely different from yours.
