No one really prepares you for buying your first home…

I remember being so excited but also a little overwhelmed trying to figure everything out as I went.

Looking back, here are 3 things I wish I knew:

• It’s not just the mortgage, homeownership comes with a lot of little (and not-so-little) expenses
• Your first home doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be right for right now
• Who you work with matters more than anything
