Good week for roof inspections!

Snowfall varied widely across Albuquerque as a winter storm moved through early Friday, with the highest totals stacking up along the east side of the metro near the foothills.

Far Eastern neighborhoods reported the most snow, with 4.0 inches near Albuquerque 5.4 miles east, while several foothills and far-east locations measured around 2.5 to 3.0 inches. Areas near Tramway, Juan Tabo, and the far Northeast Heights commonly saw 2 to 3 inches by mid-morning.

Across central Albuquerque, snowfall generally ranged from 1.5 to 2.5 inches, including 1.9 inches at the National Weather Service office and about 2 inches in parts of the South Valley.

Snow totals dropped off sharply on the west side, where many neighborhoods reported around an inch or less, with some northwest areas seeing only a dusting.
