Sol Housing, in partnership with Forth, the City of Albuquerque Sustainability Office, and PNM launched the Affordable Mobility Platform (AMP), a nationwide community carsharing program providing electric vehicles to affordable housing locations. We are proud to be part of this pilot program that increases mobility and equity to our community at PAH! Hiland Plaza and the surrounding neighborhood. 🚘

The program provides a highly affordable transportation option to anyone in Albuquerque who can’t afford to own and maintain their own vehicles. The vehicles are located on the south side of the PAH! Hiland Plaza parking lot at Silver Avenue and Jackson Street. 

Drivers must be 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. To get started, drivers must first download the MDO Carshare app from the App Store or Google Play.

Deaf people deserve equal access to information from the federal government.

For four years, the White House provided ASL interpreters for press briefings. That access stopped in January 2025, leaving Deaf Americans without equal access to important public information.

The ACLU has filed an amicus brief supporting Derrick Ford and the National Association of the Deaf in their case to restore ASL interpretation at White House press briefings.

The brief explains that courts can and should enforce Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the federal law that prohibits disability discrimination by the federal government. The White House argues otherwise — claiming that the court should not require it to follow this law in this case.

This case is about more than White House briefings. It is about communication access, disability rights, and making sure the federal government follows the law.

Vibrant communities is part of our mission. Without these protections of the Fair Housing Act in place, that mission is jeopardy at the cost of people’s housing. We applaud the National Fair Housing Alliance’s efforts to fight these rollbacks.

This large-scale mural will be one of the area’s most visible public artworks. Daily, it’ll be seen by residents, commuters, fairgoers, and Route 66 travelers — all with the Sandia Mountains as the backdrop. 🤩

Our Community Report is now available for all to enjoy! This report highlights our work over the last two years - from community engagement to awards and recognition, from resident stories and enrichment services, we sure did pack a lot into that time! Thank you to everyone who was part of our story. We can't wait to see what the future holds for Sol Housing and Albuquerque!
