A lawyer from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) will make history this December as the first openly Trans+ attorney to argue in front of the US Supreme Court 🏳️‍⚧️

Chase Strangio is set to oppose Tennessee's law that prohibits gender-affirming medical care for Trans+ youth.

He will be representing a group of people challenging the measure, which restricts access to treatments including hormones.

“He brings to the lectern not only brilliant constitutional lawyering, but also the tenacity and heart of a civil rights champion,” said Cecillia Wan, ACLU's Legal Director, who hailed him as the leading expert on Trans+ rights in the US.
