Albuquerque, we’re ready for our close-up!

Coyote vs. Acme is officially in theaters today, and Albuquerque is front and center, not just as a filming location, but as a character in the story.

Filmed in and around Albuquerque, the production employed approximately 180 New Mexico crew members, 49 New Mexico principal actors, and more than 2,100 New Mexico background performers.

Mayor Tim Keller even joined the production during filming for a brief cameo appearance, though audiences will have to watch closely to see whether his moment made the final cut.

The Michelin Guide came to the Southwest United States for the first time, and two iconic Albuquerque restaurants received accolades.

Frontier Restaurant received a Bib Gourmand award, which recognizes restaurants that provide delicious dishes at a great value.

Campo at Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm received two special recognitions:
Michelin Exceptional Cocktails Award - Joseph Simonson
Michelin Mindful Voices Recognition - Christopher Bethoney

It was also named a 2026 recommended restaurant, which means it will be included in the official Michelin Guide.
