It's hard to feel sad in Albuquerque when this vehicle crosses your path.

Skate-O-Mania is a fantastic roller skating rink in Northeast Albuquerque. It's a a true 1980s roller skating rink best known for its cameo in Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” If you’ve driven or walked around in Albuquerque, chances are you may have encountered their mobile billboard: the Skate-O-Mania skate car.

This beloved Albuquerque icon brings smiles and whimsy to all who see it. The car is one of 16 ever produced and one of even fewer still running. It is built on a Volkswagen engine and can hit speeds of a little over 50 miles an hour.
