I lost track of a lot in the past ten years and the thing I can say as I look back is that moving back to Albuquerque, New Mexico helped me achieve the awesome life I have now.
At 19 I decided to take the journey to leave New Mexico for the big city and it was a big shock.
After so much time asking myself why nothing was working for me. I gave up! I finally decided to move back home to Albuquerque to start fresh.
Moving back to Albuquerque taught me this:⬇️
✨A slower pace of living is not a want but a need. When you can slow down and really access the world around you. Things just become clearer.
✨My dream of owning a home for my family became a reality not just a thing I would dream about. At 23 I bought my first home and if I had stayed in NY I would have to be almost 50 to finally afford something for my family.
✨Albuquerque is big on community. You know how hard it was to make friends in NY. Everyone is in such a rush that I never really built a genuine friendship with anybody.
✨New York has an awesome food culture but nothing felt like home. Everything felt like a business. Here some of the local spots we eat at feel like I’m eating at home. Cozy as heck. It’s a vibe!
Now is New Mexico for everyone?
Heck no.
But there is a select few of us that long for these things. Affordability being one of the main reasons people consider Albuquerque.
If you’re ready to make the move to Albuquerque but you just don’t know where to start. I have something for you!
