Time for some real estate statistics! Hope you've had your morning ☕☕☕. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the shift to remote work starting in 2019 has caused about 60% of the increase in prices for both rentals and home sales. Workers migrated to less expensive areas with better amenities, leading to higher prices throughout the US. The pandemic changed the fundamentals of housing demand and prices will likely keep going up as remote work becomes a permanent option for more than 20% + of our work force.
