Tunnel to Towers is honored to announce a mortgage payoff for Navy Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Christopher J. Chambers. Chambers was reported missing at sea on January 11, while conducting a raid in the Gulf of Aden.

Chambers jumped into the water to save his fellow Navy SEAL, Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Nathan Gage Ingram, after Ingram had fallen off a ladder into 8-foot-high waves while boarding the ship.

Navy Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Christopher J. Chambers is survived by his wife and young daughter.

Alexandria's Market Square was established only a few years after the town was founded in 1749. The site selected was centrally located in a prime block of the colonial settlement, immediately adjacent to the City Hall.
