Having moved countries multiple times 🇬🇧 🇦🇪 🇺🇸 and houses 15 times in my adult life, I know moving can be stressful! (I’m actually one of those weird people who enjoy packing and moving!)
In the U.K. the last things to be packed are the kettle and mugs ☕️to make tea 🫖 and they are the first to be unpacked on arrival!

MP Market Update - As anticipated the housing market cooled over the summer, a direct response from the increase in interest rates. Purchasers' "buying power" was significantly impacted, some buyers deciding to pause their search to see what the market was going to do. This meant we saw for the first time in years a move away from such an extreme sellers market. As we move into September and a more stable market we expect to see more confidence from buyers and sellers. New listings dropped over the past 3 months but we anticipate an increase in the coming weeks when buyers and sellers are refocused on making their next move. There's a buzz in the Old Town Compass office in anticipation for a great Fall!

A little bit about me...

British born, I now live in Alexandria, Virginia. I've had a passion for property since the age of 5 when I used to 'help' at my father’s real estate office with a stapler. Never venturing far from the world of real-estate throughout my career, I held long-term business relationships with elite realtors and property developers – photographing some of England’s most historic property developments. My love for the business comes from bridging the nuance and complexities of market dynamics, with the gratification of helping people find their perfect home. I have spent my whole career working hard for clients, and pride myself on providing exceptional service, searching for opportunities to go above and beyond. I love learning about what motivates the decision to buy or sell, and translating this into a personalized strategic plan for my clients. Having bought and sold property since I was 24, I most recently purchased a mid-century modern home with my husband in the iconic Hollin Hills, Alexandria. Since moving to Alexandria, I have enjoyed getting to know the surrounding area well when searching for my own home as well as exploring with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Jasper.
