Continuing our Hispanic Heritage Month spotlights, we’re celebrating Arepa Zone! Founded by Venezuelan natives Ali Arellano and Gaby Febres, this vibrant eatery started as a beloved food truck and has grown into an iconic local staple for authentic Venezuelan comfort food across the District.

Arepa Zone specializes in handcrafted, naturally gluten-free stuffed corn cakes (arepas), crispy empanadas, and sweet cachapas made fresh daily from cherished family recipes. From their famous shredded beef "Pabellón" arepa to house-made sweet corn pancakes with queso de mano (Clásica Cachapa), every dish brings the rich, authentic flavors of Venezuela straight to our community.
