AHCS received grant funds from KOVAR to supplement funding for a 14-passenger bus for the transportation program.
Kathy Johnson, who works in the Developmental Services Administration office, was awarded a plaque in honor of her hard work and dedication to scheduling, dispatching, and billing for transportation services. KOVAR is a Virginia Knights of Columbus 501(c) (3) tax exempt charity established in 1971 to empower nonprofit organizations with financial support to improve access to affordable housing, job training, sports participation, and personal care for Virginians with Intellectual Disabilities.

📣 Chamber Members — check your inbox!

Facebook is changing how some Business Pages can share external links, and we just sent our members an email breaking down what you need to know.

Some Pages are beginning to see limits on the number of organic posts or comments that can contain external links each month. For businesses that rely heavily on Facebook to promote events, products, services, online ordering, registrations or their website, this is an important change to understand.

The good news? Facebook can still be a powerful marketing tool for your business. Your strategy may just need to change.

In the email we sent today, we're covering:
🔹 What the new link limits mean
🔹 Why “link in the comments” may not be the workaround you think it is
🔹 Why paid Facebook advertising is different
🔹 How to decide when a website link is really worth using
🔹 Ways to keep reaching customers without relying on external links
🔹 Why this is a good reminder to diversify your digital presence

And yes, there's a reason there isn't a link to the guide in this post! 😅

Chamber members, check your inbox for the full guide and tips.

Social media changes quickly, and we'll continue working to keep our members informed and help you navigate changes that impact how you market your business.
