Here's 5 tips for anyone looking to becoming a real estate investor.

1.) Know the market you want to invest in. (Do some research on inventory of houses in the area. Know what rental rates are.)

2.) Connect with local investors. (Attend local meetups with other investors at all different stages. Meet with any individual that you may know that has experience in RE investing)

3.) Purchase where people want to be. (Do research on the growth of the market you want to be in. Determine if the school district is desirable. Know what companies are bringing jobs to the area.)

4.) Learn how to analyze deals. (You have to know the numbers for short, medium, or long-term rentals as well as house flips etc.)

5.) Start small.
