It has been brought to our attention that scammers are posting fake rental listings online and claiming to be Tanner Real Estate on platforms such as Zillow and Facebook. These listings are not connected to us in any way.
If you come across a rental where someone is claiming to represent Tanner Real Estate, please contact our office directly before sending any money or personal information.
Red flags to watch for: • Rent priced far below market
• Pressure to “act fast”
• Requests for deposits before you’ve seen the property
• Communication only through text or email
• Photos or descriptions that look copied from other listings
Protect yourself: • Always tour the property first
• Verify the owner or management company
• Never send money through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, wire transfer, or gift cards
• When in doubt, call us — we’re happy to confirm whether a listing is legitimate
